Sperrin House Shortlisted for the Prestigious RIAI Award

Farren Architects has been shortlisted for the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) Awards 2024 for their work on Sperrin House, a project that "blends tradition and sustainability."

Sperrin House, located in the heart of the Sperrin Mountains in County Derry, combines local vernacular forms with contemporary design. The timber-clad structure sits atop a textured concrete base, maximising views over the Sperrin Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty landscape. Repurposed stone from a former on-site dwelling has been integrated into the new form.

Being shortlisted for the RIAI Awards represents significant recognition within the architecture profession. The awards celebrate excellence across various categories, acknowledging talented architects and firms throughout Ireland.

The awards ceremony takes place on Friday 21st June 2024 at the National Gallery of Ireland, where winners will be announced. Farren Architects looks forward to attending the event and celebrating achievements within the architecture community.
