Design Response
The proposal introduces a generous open plan space to counteract the original compartmental layout. Window placement prioritises environmental awareness, with a west-facing high-level window on the north-facing rear elevation to maximise evening sunlight in the new living, kitchen and dining hub. The extension adds an open plan kitchen–dining–living area, bathroom, master bedroom with en-suite and external courtyard.
