Design Response
The proposal adopts a contemporary modern design approach that preserves the original dwelling whilst utilising red brick material for cohesion. The extension references the host dwelling by adopting the arch featured on the main gable, using it as a recurring element in fenestration. The arch serves as both a structural method and aesthetic reference, establishing permanence and durability in keeping with the red brick context.
